Feathered Visitors

I live on a creek... every so often we get visitors. When I'm home and see them I grab my camera... I got some kewl shots. First it was 2 geese... then a duck decided to float down and visit too...

Rainbows...

I love Rainbows... The other day my Brother and I came across some awesome rainbows. The rainbow looked like it was 3 or 4 together with 1 higher up above it. The colors were soo bright. I could make out like 3 or 4 bands of the green, blue, and purple colors. Unluckily I forgot my phone at home. Luckily my brother had his. We pulled over so he could get out to take some pictures. So these are his pictures but I had to share. They are awesome looking.

Purty good pictures for a cheap cell phone. :)

On Display

The Photo lady at the local Walmart I work at was looking for pictures to use for displays. I sometimes work with Photo Dept. so I told her I had some pictures if she wanted to see if there was anything she wanted to use...

She did pick one of my pictures I took at Union Creek in Oregon. It went on an 8x20 mounted photo display. A lot of people comment on the picture. Some people even want the picture. LOL

This is the original picture, before it got cropped to the 8x20 . So basically most of the greenery was taken out and the water pooling. It basically only has the waterfall portions of it.

Here are a few others I took at the same place at same time period.

Straight Up

The clouds were making interesting patterns in the sky. I was playing with my new Nikon. I wondered what the pictures would look like if I shot looking straight up at the sky at those clouds.. This is what I got...

All the Pretty Colors

The sun was setting and there were clouds... the result was many pretty Pinks, and Purples streaking across the sky. I had to grab my camera and take some pictures...

Life Thru My Shutter

I'm a shutterbug. I love taking pictures. I used to use a small cheap Kodak digital camera that worked for many years. I have just graduated to a Nikon Coolpixs L830. I joked with my Mom that I'm a big kid now.. my camera has a lens cover you have to pull off when you turn the camera on.

I also like Journaling and blogging. I like sharing my pictures and the stories of why I took them.  So I thought I'd try this. Sometimes I'll add a lot and sometimes I won't have anything new. It all depends on what catches my fancy with my Nikon or even my Cell Phone Camera.

Okay here's a picture for you.. the Moon...
